We are seeking a skilled Quality Control Officer who will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that our product comply with safety and quality standards. This role is crucial for conducting inspections and tests, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with production teams to resolve quality issues.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and analyzing production processes to identify areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions.
- Communicate identified defects promptly to supervisors and collaborate on corrective actions for timely resolution.
- Verify products meet industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements by staying updated on quality regulations.
- Oversee production stages to uphold consistent quality standards and identify areas for improvement in the workflows.
- Develop and enforce effective protocols to optimize inspection processes and enhance product quality assurance.
- Analyze quality-related customer concerns and collaborate on solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols during inspections and production activities to promote a secure workplace for all personnel.
- Review specifications, and technical documents to understand quality requirements, tolerances, and acceptance criteria for products or services.
- Collect and analyze quality data, metrics, and performance indicators to evaluate process capabilities, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform visual inspections, measurements, and tests using precision tools, equipment, and instruments to verify product dimensions, appearance, and functionality.
- Document and report quality findings, deviations, and corrective actions taken, maintaining accurate records, logs, and inspection reports for traceability and accountability.
- Collaborate with production teams, engineers, and suppliers to address quality issues, resolve discrepancies, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to identify underlying causes of quality issues, applying techniques such as 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, and Pareto analysis.
Skills and qualifications:
- Degree in Food Processing, Food Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in food quality control and safety.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO, and food safety regulations.
- Skilled in product inspection, sampling, and laboratory testing.
- Proficient in quality management systems and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiar with hygiene and sanitation standards in food production.
- Strong attention to detail to identify deviations and defects in products and processes.
- Ability to analyze quality data and metrics to make informed decisions.
- Problem-solving skills to identify root causes of quality issues and propose corrective measures
