Are you a hands-on, organized, and detail-oriented individual passionate about fish handling and husbandry?
We are seeking a Fish Handling Foreman to oversee fish feeding, husbandry, sampling, and data management for mother and destination cages.
You will be responsible for coordinating feed allocation, mortality collection, sampling, counter-screen processes, data recording, and ensuring SOPs and daily KPIs are followed.
This role requires strong coordination, accuracy, teamwork, and commitment to efficient fish handling operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly responsible for mother cage and destination cage fish feeding and husbandry practices
- Supports the counter screen processes and daily livestreaming of the data from handled cages.
- Allocate feed rations for closed cages based on the biomass stocked. Work closely with feeding team to ensure timely feed orders for destination cages ongoing
- Collate data on feed fed for holding cages and share with both data and feeding teams.
- Ensure bottom mort are collected from mother cages before handling
- Work with the supervisor to ensure all SOPs are followed including monitoring of the daily KPIs and progress reporting.
- In-charge of the sampling process and data entry as well as platform data communication.
- Any other duty assigned by the supervisor.
- Ensure platform is always clean.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum of a High School Diploma
Knowledge and skills:
- Knowledge on fish feeding techniques and feed optimization
- Basic Microsoft Office experience
- Professionalism and strong work ethic
- Positive and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to train, monitor and direct team members
- Ability to follow established standard operating procedures
- Ability to communicate and report through different channels available in the company
- Organization skills
- Possess good personality and communication skills, with the ability to do tasks under stressful environment and minimum supervision
- Time conscious
