We are seeking for a skilled and dependable Bomag and Dynapac Operator who will be responsible for operating vibratory and static rollers—specifically Bomag and Dynapac models—for compacting soil, gravel and other materials on construction sites
Role & Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate the Bomag/Dynapac machine to compact various materials such as soil, gravel, and murram, among others.
- Prepare surfaces by compacting soil and materials to ensure they meet the required density and specifications.
- Operate the Bomag / Dynapac and other heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
- Achieve specified compaction levels in subgrade and sub-base layers as directed.
- Carry out routine maintenance and daily machine checks.
- Report any mechanical issues or defects to the site supervisor promptly.
- Work closely with site engineers, supervisors, and fellow equipment operators.
- Adhere to safety procedures and project quality requirements.
- Provide recommendations for maintaining and improving environmental performance.
- Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner.
- Perform any other duty that may be assigned by the management.
Skills and qualifications:
- Diploma in Heavy Plant Operations or related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating a Bomag or its equivalent.
- Ability to operate both the Bomag and the Dynapac compactors
- A strong understanding of safety and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers.
- Good planning skills and the ability to show initiative and positive attitude.
- Flexible, punctual, reliable and hardworking team player.
- Experience excavating trenches at various depths and paving roads.
