Location: Headquarters, Nairobi with travel to other VF sites
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Developer to design and maintain integrated solutions that connect ERP systems, IoT devices, dashboards, and operational workflows. This role is responsible for automating business processes, enabling seamless data integration across platforms, and supporting.
Roles & Responsibilities:
ERP Development & Customization
- Assist with customization and development within the ERPNext platform
- Create scripts, workflows, and small applications to improve operational processes
- Support ERP integrations with other internal systems and data platforms
Automation & System Integration
- Develop automation workflows connecting systems using APIs and event triggers
- Support integration between ERP, dashboards, and operational tools
- Build automation scripts to reduce manual operational tasks
Data & Dashboard Support
- Assist with moving operational data into analytics platforms
- Support development of automated data pipelines
- Help maintain dashboards used by operational teams
System Support & Continuous Improvement
- Troubleshoot system integrations and automation failures
- Support testing and deployment of new tools and workflows
- Document technical processes and automation logic
Tools & Technologies
- Primary: Python, JavaScript, React, ERPNext / Frappe Framework, API Integrations, SQL
- Exposure to: Node-RED, Power BI, Grafana, IoT systems
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in software development, automation, or systems engineering
- Basic programming knowledge (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
- Understanding of APIs and system integrations
- Experience working with ERP systems (ERP Next preferred).
- Familiarity with automation platforms or workflow tools.
- Exposure to IoT devices or sensor data.
- Experience working with SQL or databases.
- Strong analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving ability and curiosity about how systems connect.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
