Resident Chef

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Resident Chef to oversee the daily culinary operations of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will be responsible for menu planning, food preparation, food safety compliance and creating an exceptional dining experience for our residents and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and present high-quality meals that meet dietary, seasonal, and cultural needs.
  • Develop rotating menus and special event meals, ensuring variety and nutritional balance.
  • Monitor food inventory to ensure quality and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen and storage areas.
  • Accommodate special dietary requirements e.g allergies, vegetarian, gluten free.
  • Collaborate with the Administration team on budgeting, meal cost control and feedback collection.
  • Lead by example in maintaining high culinary standards and professional conduct.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a residential, restaurant or institutional setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, nutrition, and kitchen equipment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Certification in Food Safety and Hygiene (required).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Creativity in menu design and problem-solving.
  • Passionate about food, sustainability, and community wellbeing.
